Where can I get an application?

You may type and print off an application from the Clerk's Website or you may come to either the Historic Courthouse or the Judicial Annex and pick one up.

How long does my application stay active?

Your application will stay active at the Clerk's Office for one year. Once that year is up we request you update your information with the Clerk's Office if you are still interested in employment.

What type of jobs does the Clerk's Office offer?

There is a variety of clerical, technicial, financial and professional career opportunities available at the Clerk's Office.

What is the most common mistake made on submitted applications / resumes?

The most common mistake is that the information provided is incomplete. All areas on the application need to be completed and accurate. Please provide as much employment information as possible.

What is the application and interview process?

Applications will be pre-screened by the Clerk's Human Resources Department and department supervisor to ensure the applicant meetings minimum qualifications. Applicants selected for an interview will be interviewed by Human Resources, Department Head for area hiring and the immedidate supervisor for area hiring. Once a selection has been made, references and previous employers provided by the applicant wil be contacted. ( A criminal background check will be conducted ) through an inquiry to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. Applicants may be turned down for the following reasons:

  • The applicant has been convicted of a crime that directly relates to the position.
  • The applicant has made false statements on any fact on the application.
  • Required qualifications / conditions are not met.
