Clerk Staff Receives Public Records Training

Yulee, FL – February 25, 2010 – Clerk of the Circuit Court, John A. Crawford, provided all staff of his office with public records training last Friday. Four sessions were held for staff, and a review of the current public records policy was provided by Shannon Crow, Research and Communications Coordinator.

“Preserving and protecting public records is only part of the responsibility we have as record custodians. The larger responsibility is in assuring an environment wherein the public has unfettered access to their records. The surest way to assure total public access to the public’s records is through frequent records training for our staff, following Florida’s Public Records laws religiously, and keeping the public informed of what records are available,” Crawford said.
