Clerk Check Acceptance Policy

Yulee, FL - March 24, 2010 - Effective April 15, 2010, a number of changes to the Clerk of Court Check Acceptance Policy will be implemented.

The new policy is as follows:

• Checks will no longer be accepted by mail.
• Checks will only be accepted over the counter with Driver License or State-issued photo ID.
• A photocopy of the Driver License/State-issued photo ID will be made and kept on file.
• Pursuant to F.S. 28.243, the Clerk’s Office will accept checks drawn on any bank or similar financial institution in the United States.
• Exceptions to the above are governmental agencies, title companies, and officers of the courts.
