Yulee, FL – March 14, 2011 – The Eighth Annual Fourth Judicial Circuit Mock Trial Competition was held on February 25th in Clay County. Nassau County Teen Court students competed against teams from Duval, Clay, and Flagler counties. Sixty students filled the roles in four court rooms and acted as attorneys, witnesses, and court officers for the daylong event. Fourteen Nassau students from area schools comprised a formidable team of attorneys and witnesses. Nassau County team members were: Prosecuting Attorneys: Amanda Middleton, Emma Priest, Savanna Edwards The Presiding Judges were: The Honorable Robert M. Foster, The Honorable Brian J. Davis, The Honorable Roberto Arias, and The Honorable Angela Cox. Team Coaches were: The Honorable Robert E. Williams; Laura Coggin, Nassau County State Attorney’s Office; Chris Clayton, Nassau County Public Defender’s Office; Harrison Poole, Esq.; John J. Cascone, Esq.; and Charles H. Griffin, Nassau County Teen Court Coordinator.
